I was born and raised in New York State, but I’ve lived in Round Rock for 33 years. I am married to a wonderful man named Tim and have three amazing children: Kaela, Zachary and Lindsey, who is married to Brandon. Lindsey and Brandon have a beautiful four year old daughter named Campbell. This is my 17th year teaching at Jollyville! My hobbies include quilting, reading, crafting, watching classic movies, and most of all, playing with my adorable granddaughter. I am so blessed!

I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. I graduated from the University of Texas in 2000 and went straight in to teaching. I am beginning my 16th year of teaching; my 13th year teaching 4th grade. I have two beautiful daughters, Hailey and Amber, that are attending Ridgeview Middle School in RRISD. Hailey is an avid softball player, so we travel about every other weekend to attend her tournaments. Amber is my computer girl. Someday, she will write code that will change the world. My hobbies include spending time with family, Zumba, biking, walking my dog- Emma, swimming, reading, and of course catching up on all my favorite television shows. I look forward to a wonderful year of learning and exploring the worlds of Science and Reading with your students. This may just be the best year yet.

I grew up in the small East Texas town of Huntsville. At the beginning of my college career, I studied architecture at The University of Texas at Austin. My roommate was completing her student teaching at the time, and I was envious of all the fun she was having! I spent some time observing in classrooms, and I knew that education was the career path I was being called to take. I transferred to Sam Houston State University, in my hometown, and graduated in May of 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach Pre-K through 4th grade, along with Gifted and Talented students. My very first year of teaching, I taught 3rd grade in my hometown at the school where I went to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade! I then taught 2nd grade for three years in Montgomery, Texas. After getting married, I taught 4th grade in Spring, Texas for one year before my husband and I moved to Austin. After moving to Austin in 2008, I taught 3rd grade at Pond Springs Elementary in Round Rock ISD for 5 years, then taught at Hill Country Christian School for a year. This is my second year to teach 4th grade at Jollyville Elementary, and I am so proud to be a Jaguar!
I met my husband, Aaron, in 2006, and we were married in 2007. Shortly after we were married, we moved to Austin, and we love it here! Last July, we welcomed our daughter, Jordyn, to our family. She brings me so much joy! I love playing with her and reading books together. We have two dogs who love digging in the yard, eating treats, and playing chase. We also have the 3 most beautiful nieces in the world plus one incredibly handsome nephew, and enjoy spending time with them. Family is very important to me, and I try to see them as often as possible.
In the fall, you'll find me at all the home Longhorn football games cheering on the team. I also enjoy making greeting cards and other crafts. Having friends over for dinner and board games is another way I like spending my free time.
